Welcome to GastoniaPD.org, the official web site of the Gastonia Police Department.

Gastonia is among the 15 largest cities in North Carolina and the Gastonia Police Department is an award winning organization that is continually evolving with our growing city.

Like each of the 200 men and women who wear our uniform or work in civilian positions, I am very proud to be a member of the Gastonia Police Department. Our mission is to "Protect, Serve, and Enhance the Quality of Life for All." To accomplish our mission, we have a strong emphasis on community policing and problem-solving efforts. We form various partnerships as needed to help prevent or address crime trends. We depend upon the support and cooperation of all citizens to help make our city a great place to live, work, play and visit.

As you navigate our site you can learn many things from how to get a permit to how to become a Gastonia Police officer. You can get contact information for district captains by clicking on a districts map found through the Patrol Division link.
